The people who have it seem to like it, but there are MANY options if you get creative and make your own as many people choose to do.
Spend some time searching the site reading old posts and I'm sure you'll find many ideas ;)

I really don't see any reason for doing anything other than the high capacity round filter, and air box, that came on the 97-2000 trucks.

Well, I put my homemade TM on pretty much at the same time, so I have no real back to back testing against the stock airbox.
It is pretty much sealed to the inner fender liner, and I actually enlarged the factory hole there to match the airbox. The tip of the filter actually protrudes into the fender a bit. I figured more air is not much good if it's all hot air.
It seems to work quite well. Between the airbox and the manual wastegate control, it's a pretty decent improvement over stock.

We are currently working on a complete stg. 2 intake system. I hope to have it available within 2 months. This will be a completely sealed unit that should solve any restriction issues the factory system has. I am confident you all will be very pleased with the product. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at ian@heathdiesel.com

Thanks,
