Hello everyone, new diesel owner here, I got a 2003 k2500 ext cab short box. I want more than the cat-back system because I want to boost horsepower through chips and intakes so I can tow some serious weight. How easy is it to change the headpipe-- and take off those damn cat converters? Will this cause any computer malfunction problems? I got the Banks 4'' cat back right now and the next step is to get rid of these worthless cat converters which make the truck sound lame. I know this to be illegal, but I live where no one will be checking. Any recommendations on a headpipe kit? Is there a component besides the headpipe I need to get all that hot exhaust away from my turbo? Thanks, Dan, VT dairy farmer.:grd:

I'm glad my truck didn't come with catalytic converters.

Taking off the cat yeilds very minimal gains, and youll be finding yourself putting it back on/and or paying a hefty fine for removing it.

If you say "you know it is illegal" then we say don't do it.
No one here is going to promote doing anything illegal.

It is an easy remove, as long as its for Off Road use only:secret:
Band clamp at the turbo outlet pipe, 4 bolt flange at the other end.
