Quicktime 02-08-2005, 01:07 AM All over the web site...feel free to check it out!
Nice conversion but what's with the $1.99 spray job on the diff cover?
Leadfoot 02-08-2005, 09:22 AM All over the web site...feel free to check it out!
How much "lift" is required to run this setup? I noticed it sits pretty high, was that done solely out of necessity? I know it has to sit higher to clear the differential, but was ALL that extra height needed???
lbz492 02-08-2005, 10:04 AM i am gussing you used older chevy springs and you get about 3" from the conversion. but what size springs did you use. it look realy cool.
02AlliMax 02-08-2005, 08:08 PM Bullet Proof Stainless Hymens??? I thought she only came with 1 :D
Looks good even with that though.
Kurt W. 02-08-2005, 08:27 PM May I ask how much? I had done some pricing on doing that to my 95 and it came out to around 5-6 grand. But it depends on wether you use new or rebuilds too.
Turfmower 02-08-2005, 08:37 PM I wish they came like that Stock. The torsion bar front end is really the only thing I dislike about the truck.
radvans 02-08-2005, 09:24 PM How much total lift could I get? Suppose I want to run with the ford boys, can you do 12"?
Are you having to do any body trimming at full stuff? And what size tires?
Minn-Kota 02-08-2005, 09:32 PM Uhh, do you realize the link to your website redirects right back to this site??
FYI
tophog 02-08-2005, 10:49 PM I think I found it.

With straight axle the lift possiblities are endless. 12"'s of lift is minor, and trimming is a thing of the past.
john@dps 02-08-2005, 11:24 PM The only problem I've ever seen with the conversion is the price. That Dana 60 will run you $4500 big one's. And that doesn't include the lift, steering components, or springs. That kind of money can really take a long time to talk your other half into.:( John
Quicktime 02-09-2005, 03:19 AM Look on E-Bay for used 60's. Sometimes, it's even better to look for a whole car with a 60 (you may be able to get it cheaper that way since there are a lot of people out there who don't really know what they have or what it's worth). You're right a new 60 can cost big $$'s!!
As for the $1.99 paint job...it was actually $6.49.:)
Oh yeah...and I am the "other half". All about spending the money for the latest and greatest! A little clue for you guys...let her think it was her idea...
Max Payne 02-09-2005, 10:28 AM Hymens...?):h
