I've read through most of the threads that showed up when I searched. Most partained to 03+. I'm not sure if the 03+ silverado's wiring is the same as the 01-02, I doubt it. Story is I installed my gauges last night in the overhead mount(from trippin) and I want to use one of the switches for my heated seats. I want to flip the switch on and have both turn on without using the door panel switch to activate them. With this setup I can flip the switch after I get home, start the truck the next day and let it warm up with the seats heating as well.

I read some posts that say there has to be the right pulse for it to work? Is this correct? Or can I tap into both sides and wire them up to the switch?

I know its spring and heated seats are worthless now but I'm planning ahead ;)

im not sure if there is a certain pulse but you could try turning them on the way they are hooked up now and just put a tester where power goes into the heating element in the seat.
