there are several posts in regards to the edge and cold weather foul ups. just make sure that you ahve a winter cover and that the truck is completely warm before driving off. if it does act up on you, you can always shut the truck off and remove the edge for the time being. your truck will run normal without it in place. but you never know, edge may have corrected the issue by now and the one you get may not have an issue with the frigid weather.

on the other hand, you can get separate guages, pillar mounted or get an overhead mount, and use another product and maybe get the edge later, without attitude since you already have guages. Or just use the edge in the summer.

read all the posts you can find in regards to the edge and make an educated decision for yourself.

I'm on my third Attitude in less than a yearCensored
If I had to do over again, I would have gotten the Predator.

Yup, kinda have the same problem in my 04 LB7; seems like it has to get to about 170-180 degrees before it kicks in and it tends to mess the tranny up a little. The remote start has really helped in getting the truck to warm up for 5-10 minutes before driving away.

Do you really want to be flogging a cold motor anyway???

My edge on my LB7 never acted up becasue of the cold. Never acted up ever actaully. I ran 3 differnt edge boxes and 2 different attitude monitors over a bit over a year with 0 problems except thermocouple's dying.

It's not that I want to flog a cold motor, it's usually the fact that I go somewhere and I come back out 15 mins later and the temp is back down to 120 deg. and I have to constantly change how I drive and shift (ZF) to have comparable performance or a smooth ride. Couple that with the fact that I can't seem to keep Attitudes working... <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

For the record I don't dislike my J/A and I will tell anybody that Edge's customer support is outstanding but, I'm wondering if I wouldn't have been happier with a Predator..

The attitude monitor has problems with the cold where i live, but im not up north either. I've got an 02 with the J/A and i love it, it would be alot better if ZF-6 would stop spitting out flywheels. Depending on where i am, i leave mine running because as you already know, it takes forever to warm up. And the temp starts falling fast when you shut it off.
