I live in the great white north were we get 6 - 8 months of snow and winter. Has anyone out there had experience with these two tires in snow/ice conditions?
I've tried the BFG and the winter traction for a non studded tire was remarkable. The terra grapplers come in the exact size that I want for my truck 305/70/17. Not that it matters but I'm going with procomp rims.
Thanks for all replies

I had pro-comp all terrain tire on my Dodge up in the Fort Mac area and they sucked big time went back to the BFG's on the dodge and on the new GMC and alot better.

I have had both BFG AT's and Terra Grapplers; IMO both are good in the snow.

I have had both. Both are good in winter. But most on here agree theres more mileage to be had with BFGs.

Absolute,
it depends on what kind of snow you get. The BFG's are pretty good in snow, but if you get more ice like we do in Calgary from the chinooks and not the big snow dumps, the BFG's aren't great on ice at all.
My next tires will be either Dick Cepek or might try Toyo M/T
I agree with wilsonck, the BFGs are marginal on ice but I haven't had my Grapplers on in the winter. I would like to run the Toyo M/Ts in the winter just not sure how loud they are on the highway.

I haven't found the Toyo M/T's to be that loud on the highways so far. They are Epic in snow but haven't tried them on ice yet.
