I recently bought an 06 duramax, and was wondering if any one could tell me what the oil capacity is? it did not come with owners manuel. its on order. thanks gal.or or quarts would be sufficient.

FYI, all the D-MAX'S from 01 and newer are 10 quarts...

Yep, 10 quarts unless you drain the oil with the nose up higher than the rest of the body...then you can get an extra 1/2 quart out of it.

Horseheads is about 3-4 hours south of where I'am.

I put in 10 quarts last time and only drained out 7 after 7500 miles.
