For what it's worth I thought I'd share some of my calculated info from my little log book I keep when I fill up my truck.

First the truck, purchased new with 187 miles on it.
2004 GMC 2500 HD, CrewCab, ShortBed, 4X4, Duramax/Allison 5 sp auto.

So To Date - or life of the truck I have...
- 19,900 miles.
- About 82 times visiting the pump.
- Avg. trip od. reading - 239.25miles
- Avg. MPG - 13.31MPG over all life of truck.
- Best MPG on a tank - 19.36MPG
- Worst MPG on a tank - 6.30 (first tow of trailer 75MPH to Phx. Now it's 9.8 avg. MPG!!!)
- Total cost of Fuel since purchase $2833.58
- Total consumption diesel - 1449.89 gallons
- Avg. amount of diesel taken on board - 17.68 gallons
- Avg. cost of a fillup - $32.95
- lowest price per gallon - $1.53
- highest price per gallon - $2.39
- most on a trip odometer - 381.5 (have a ton of 300+ mile)
- most gallons taken on in a fill up- 24.1 (26 gallon tank eek!)
- avg. days in between fill ups - 5.34 days (lots of 1 days with all my hunting and trips to phx and back in a day.)
- avg price per gallon over the life- $1.95
- pulling an 7K trailer up bumble bee hill on I-17 passing compact cars... priceless http://www.azsj.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Other notes: I have 2+ size over of factory tires (factory 245/75/16E) - mine are 285/75/16D, which leads to worse MPG so I had to do the recalculation to get the correct MPG.

:exactly:
When I was looking at my truck I was happy it had the Bose speakers and CD player.. After having it for 2 weeks.. No need to even turn on the radio. I have a 8-piece forged steel Orchestra sitting under my hood.. :rocking:

Admire the records you're keeping. My problem is I'm afraid I'd find the devil in the details and I'd give her a swift kick in the tail-gate. She and I get along better just going on our way and paying at the pump. Love is blind and best left at that(for me anyway).
