What was the transfercase that would be in a 97 Chevrolet 2500 gasser be called? I bought a wrecked truck the other day and it is a 97 w/ the vortec 350 and a 4l80e tranny. I am wanting to find an adapter to bolt that to the back of my NV4500 2wd tranny that is in my dually but I need to know what that transfercase is called! The truck was a worktruck so it had the floor mounted shifter. Also is this unit a good one or were they a pos? Also would the case be any diff. if it was a 4l60e tranny? If so what would it be? I found an adapter on advancedadapter.com that goes from a nv4500 to a np t/c transfercase, would this be what I need?
