hi, i am new to the site,but i have learned so much already by reading the forum.i have a new 2007 1/2 gmc 2500 LMM. my question is, is the dealer the only place i can get the nav system reflashed?. for those of you who dont know what that means(i didnt know it myself). i want to put a back up camera on my 5th wheel trailer, and i want the picture to come out on the nav screen.
i can buy the interface system that will make that work, but the place told me before they sold it to me i had to take it back to the dealer to have the nav reflashed( turn on the part in the radio to make the picture work). i called 2 dealers , they had no idea what i was talking about, but one did say, if they knew how to do it , the charge would be $100.00. the web site that i was going to buy it from tells the dealer how to reflash the unit. it is coastaletech.com.
has anybody out ther had this done to the touch screen nav on a new 2007 1/2 gmc? thank you for any help you can give me. joe
