6.5driver 04-16-2008, 12:45 AM now im all edmucated on the history of steigers. that was pretty sweet!
83gmck2500 04-16-2008, 03:16 AM Yeah I didn't know all of that either. I knew they were all named after big cats and it was related to the size of the tractor, but no specifics.
Dmax Tim 04-16-2008, 08:17 AM they are pretty crude tractors by today's standards but tough as heck. we had the 855 cummins turned up to 375-400hp and the road ranger tranny wasn't the best for shifting on the go. but it would pull the 6' tile plow real good, the blade weight helped too.
tbeck 04-16-2008, 05:22 PM The sort story on the Stiegers is, from small to big: Wildcat, Bearcat, Cougar, Panther, Tiger. Various engine options as you go across the spectrum.
01bigblock 04-17-2008, 05:25 AM hey hemisareslow
is that a 1390 case????????? hell of a tractor!!!! i had one growing up. my grandfather bought it new in 79or 80 i think? and he never really got to use it because he pssed away thet year also. he bought it and a round bailer(the first one in the county),post drivers, rake and a few other things.
this is what we use now. m8200 kubota also have 245 massey

open 2 windows, one w/ your garage and the other a post for here.
C&P the link on the pic in your garage and then in the post click the yellow box w/ what looks like mountains and paste the link from your garage. do this for each one in same post.
