Just installed the Attitude monitor this past weekend. First thing I noticed is the difference in readings for engine temp. Factory gauge shows two notches above 160 and the Attitude shows 145. Makes me wonder what the true temp of the tranny is. Does anyone else have inaccuracy issues with the factory gauges?

Fatory trans temp seems to read on with what my scanner shows. But the factory engin temp dosnt, seems to hang at 210 or a bit below that in the winter even if there is a 20* difference:confused: Truck normaly runs 190 in the summer or thers abouts IIRC and have seen it hit 212 via the attitude and the factory gauge was still pointing at 210.

my engine temp on factory guage is way off compared to my attitude display -when i hook up my matco determinator to my diagnostic port it reads exactly as the attitude does

Same here, I go by the Attitude, factory gauges are worthless IMO.

I think the factory guages are a little better than idiot lights just because they can tell you that you are on the way to trouble where idiot lights don't tell you until you are already there. My attitude guages match my Predator monitoring results pretty damned close so I'm going with the attitude guages for accuracy for now.

Cool, confirms my suspicions. Wonder how much error the oil pressure gauge has.

I know when mine is cold, the oil pressure gauge is pegged at 80!

My HJAT shows lower temps than oem guage until the engine gets to normal ops temp then they are about the same. Don't know about above normal.

Interesting observation: Sat I went to see Super Diesel and when I got there I read the Edge Records: Max rpms 12291 , max eng temp 801, max boost 22.? , max EGT 15???. don't now remember all the digits. Need to reset and check again but I know that some folks have had some Edge problems . . . .
