my brake proportioning valve has an adapter in the back where the line for the rear brakes screws in and it is leaking right where the adapter screws into the body of the valve. That adapter has some kind of hole drilled in the side, with some kind of star-shaped thing and a seal and i am wondering if that is where the leak is coming from. Does anyone know what that thing is? does it need to be removed to remove the adapter? At first i was thinking to just remove the adapter and see what kind of o-ring it needed and try replacing that, but now i wonder if this thing (that i just now noticed) has something to do with it. Or maybe it is like a set screw to keep the adapter from backing out? anyone know?
