My front drivers tire on the inside has worn down smooth, rest of the tread is good, although the tread on the passenger side is better. Rotated them to the rear, no question I have not rotated them enough. Any thoughts on why the tire would wear on the inside? Alignment? Checked pressure on all 4 tires, all with 1 lb. of each other, keeping them at 55 psi when not towing.

X2! Camber is off, but check out the reason why. Loose wheel bearing, worn ball joints, worn control arm bushings. If all check out ok, re-align.

Thanks, I'll have them checked.

Mine are wearing bad and It is from torsion being cranked to much. Spent hundreds at alignment shops and they still wear on the outside. Last alignment guy said with torsion maxed there was no way to get the 15.5" wide tires to wear perfect. My alignment is spot on but camber cant be set correctly due to torsion.

I'm just surprised that it is only the one front tire that got worn, the other front tire has a little better tread left and no side wear like drivers side. I'm going to have an alignment shop check it out. Also where the tire wear is, there are a few flat spots. I wonder if the Bilsteins are shot also?

Took the truck in today to STS for a front end alignment, Here are the results:
camber and caster good in line with paramerts.
Toe Left -0.09" Toe Right 0.04"
after adjustment
Toe Left 0.02" Toe right 0.02"
All front end parts were tight and showed no wear, wear on tire matched to the numbers to the Toe. Put the spare tire on the rear had them all rebalanced and also had them put the metal air valves on instead of the rubber which were put on when I had the michelins put on a couple years back. If I wasn't reading this forum I wouldn't have know the rubber valve stems could blow out at the higher pressure. My wife being an engineer argues the rubber would hold up to the higher pressure since they are over designed. I'll neve win the argument with her so I don't bother and let it drop.

Same thing happened to me about a month after I rotated the tires. Front driverside tire started wearing on the inside. The passenger side was starting to show the same but not near as bad as the driver side. Took the truck and got an alignment done and toe in was off on both sides.
Got to get some new tires and get it rechecked.

at least you found the problem before you bought some new tires and had them tear up

I'm probably good for at least 1 more year with the michelins I have, they have real good tread left (except for the one) after 45K. Putting on new skins and having them wear quick would have sucked big time.
