Love it on mine. I run the 65hp tune. But mine is the lly model. Great for diagnostics, modifying tire size, speed limiter and axle ratio. Also great for real time data and easy to use. Read several posts that coincide with the predator. It took just a little bit for the tranny to learn the new power settings but after several miles, she shifted as she was stock.

I have only run mine on the 40hp setting, but I have to say that I am very happy so far.

Best bang for the buck. AND when you out grow it, it can still be used for diagnostics.
Ran the 120 for 5k until it limped the tranni, now I putt around in the 85.

I don't have experience with the EDGE but I love my Predator and don't regrett buying it over the EDGE. The 100 horse setting is a true monster. I'm running in the tow mode right now for the winter because I haul a snowmobile trailer. I towed for the first time last week in that mode and was seriously impressed. My brother who drives an 04 F250 a six liter was floored at how strong it pulled. He thought for sure it would downshift in the steep hills of northern Wisconsin since I roll 35" tires with the stock gearing. Not only did lug the hills without sweating it ran at 73mph all day long in OD turning a measely 1900 rpms and returning 13 mpg. It blew his socks off. I can't imagine what this rig would run like with a set of 265's or the OEM 245 tires on it beacuse thanks to the Predator it's a beast with big meats on.:ro) Checking the corrected speedo against a GPS showed a .3mph difference at 50mph. It's also so user friendly. I do wish I could switch modes on the road at times since I don't tow very often but I'm more lazy than anything because it's a breeze to switch back and forth, just not as easy as an EDGE.

I have one for my 01 6 speed. The 1.11 version is mush smoother then the 1.10. My only complant is the excess smoke at low rpm's. Fuel mileage is lower then running stock program pulling the same trialer on the same run.

For you guys that have the Predator, can you do the calibration changes, i.e. tire size, rear gear changes WITHOUT loading the performance program?

Heartbeat Hauler, Yes. Some people use it just for that.

I love mine, only had it for a week and a half, but am really impressed with the power it puts out, even in the 40hp. Feels like it's more. Once I replace my clutch I will go back to 65hp. Great product.

Thanks Rick, I want to change to the 235/85's on my dually, but man I sure hate to spend 500 bucks to recalibrate.

Heartbeat Hauler, check your speedometer with a gps after the swap and before the Predator. I think you will be suprised at the acuracy of the speedometer after the swap. All 5 of my trucks have been off by aproximately 1.5 mph. The tires may actually correct that problem.

Now that is interesting. What about the ABS? Is that still something that needs to be done at the dealer?

I do not think that this minor of a change will affect the ABS. Try it cautiously and see.

What is the latest flash I believe mine is the 1.10 which made me go buy the juice because the throttle was to touchy. Is there a new one and what changed?:)

I do not think that this minor of a change will affect the ABS. Try it cautiously and see.Actually I had a slight problem with this. I accidentally put the wrong parameters in after changing tunes and my speedo was fast by about 10 MPH. At any velocity near highway speeds it would affect my ABS by setting off the an ABS light and alraming to have the brakes serviced. The first time it happened I was able to test them out in some snowy conditions and by the way the ass end of the rig wanted to enter the intersection first I would say it was no longer working. Reset the parameters and it corrected the problem. I have not seen the alram since.

Accuracy is very good as well. At 55mph once corrected with the predator my GPS showed a .5mph diference. I am very impressed with Diablosport.:ro)

SRYOFCR,

I have an 2001 and have used the Predator for 2 years. I usually run on the 85hp setting and tow an 11,000 lb 5th wheel with the 65hp setting. I ran on the highest setting for a while because I liked the power, but that limped the tranny 3 or 4 times and I decided that that wasn't so good!
This tuner works great in my truck, others seem to have some problems. I highly recommend the Predator. I found if you start on the lowest setting and drive about 50 miles before going to the next, the allison likes it better and adjusts to the new settings faster.
