Well I started putting Craig's clutch assy in and the first time we kind of forgot the spacer that goes on the transmission. So we take it all apart and get everything right, I go to push the clutch in and I break the plastic piece that holds the master cylinder into the firewall .-:t2 days and so much time and still a truck that doesn't work. Well I am trying to make something that will hold the master cylinder to the firewall. Just when you think you have things whipped.

I take it you did not have the master cyl connected to the hydral line when you pushed the pedal ????

I gave it a tug to see if it was seated, but I guess not quite hard enough. It was on but not all the way. Well the plastic part that holds the master cyl. is only 17.75 at the dealership. Will be here tomorrow, but I don't know if I will get to it before the weekend.

Well finally got the clutch pedal assy, which was $120 not the $17 part that the dealer first thought it was. I have been on the phone with Craig kind of regularly now. The clutch is slipping in 6th and sometimes in 5th above 2K rpms. I know that this is when the Quad adds its power and its when this thing comes alive. He is sending me a new pressure plate, clutch disc, and 2 spacers( you don't have these with the dual disc.) I am not worried about a thing cause I know that Craig won't let this happen.

Please keep us informed on the final results, they would be appreciated. BTW how is the noise factor compared to the factory set up? Thanks.

It is a little noiser than factory, but quieter than the dual mass p.o.s when it starts to chatter. I am more than happy to give up a little noise for a lot more reliability. Sounds kind of backwards since I am having some problems right now. I have no worries at all that Craig will make sure that we get things working the way they are supposed to. He has been nothing but great to deal with and I don't think that there is any other business out there that stands behind their product like he has and still does. I would buy another setup from him and will always recommend his product.

Actually, the dual disc as more spacers than the single: look at pics on #2

http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25875

there are stand-offs and spacers for both the floater and the pressure plate.

Sorry I meant an aluminum spacer that bolts to the tranny itself. There are no spacers for the clutch in the single disc setup. When I get the new stuff I will be taking pics so everyone knows what I am talking about.
