I have had the six gun with pda for about 6 monthson my 07 lbz. I am having a couple of problems. One is when i take off from a dead stop in 6 or sl it jumps immediatly out of first gear into 2. Then it falls on its face really hard from 2-3 and then takes off great. I just changed the fuel filter, and upgraded my pda to version 2.0. Can somone tell me what to set the tuning at to fix this.

try setting the 2nd to 3rd gear shift from 100 to 40, and then fine tune from there.

The stock sl level does defuel really bad, but that is designed for the stock tranny. Go into your SL tuning settings, lower 1st gear fueling to 65%-70%, raise 2nd gear to 75 or 80, dont go much higher than that on 2nd gear, as it is hard on the trans. this is per banks. You can change the defuel points on it also.

If u run the banks u got play with all the shoft points, and dump as much fuel into that it can handle on acceleration

OK, since I've been waiting for sometime to put a 6 gun on my 06 LBZ and believe it would really help with my towing, I've got to ask. tonydduramax why would you put a a 6 gun on your truck then only use it for gauges? Do you use something else for tune and performance? Ok, I read your signature, I assume you use the PPE hot +2 for tune.

the six gun for towing and add power is good tuner but has to much defueling for me. that's why I use ppe I can take out the defueling, and the banks will throw codes before the ecm, letting me me know to back off. exspensive setup yes but I bought the banks first, and until I get the trans, built I'll keep it as a early warning system.

i had the same problem when i got my 6 gun w/ pda. I found that the trans. needs a few cycles at the level you want to run at. When i go to sl or what ever, it runs a lot better after i run it in the level that i choose for a few min. if i go hunting for a 5.9,6.7, 6.0 or a 6.4 im in sl for a few miles or min. by doing this my lbz has never let me or the duramax comminity down yet. go get em
