Ok at just under 45k I ordered new shocks to replace my wifes current shocks(new HD Bilsteins in lieu of the factory Bilsteins) because with every road imperfection it sounds like you're running over train tracks.

Anyhow I just finished an oil change on it and took a look at what the setup is. Rears seem as expected pretty easy, however the fronts are, mildly put, unusual with the rear support brace going around the CV joint.

Can anyone in the know give me a lowdown on the removal procedure of the front shocks for this vehicle?? Just trying to make sure a 2 hr job doesn't become an all day affair if at all possible.

Thanks in advance.

You have to have a spring compressor. I think you can "rent" them from some parts stores. Or you can take it apart and take the shocks some where and probably pay a small fee to get them to switch them for you. I would make sure you can find a spring compressor before you take it all apart.
