I see that it has been discussed here before, briefly. I was hoping that a few new things have been unearthed.
I was brainstorming and surfing the net today. Ran across the STS turbo website again. I began thinking why wouldn't that function on an LB7 as a compound system? I know that there are those among you that will say they are hack kits, and its better to take the time and money to buy or design an underhood system...BUT I think i'd like to try something different. Just kinda thinking out loud here, anyone interested in helping me run some numbers and figure out turbocharger sizing for this application?

A while back Clint at ATS had a second turbo mounted underneath the truck. IIRC it was under the bellhousing. Maybe Wade will chime in with a few ideas on doing it this way.

it would be sweet if someone with some experiance trying it could chime in. I don't believe the plumbing will be much different than mounting underhood. The main thing that I am struggling with is drawing air from under the truck. seems like it may be a bit dirty/dusty under there.
Anyways, anyone with any info that may help me please chime in.

run an air tube up into the bed
....with the second turbo.
Tool box with hinged front that opens to a turbo support cage with a motorcycle oil tank and electic oil pump. Stack right out the top of the tool box.:drool::jawdrop:

They have an "options" sheet when you order the Kits, and they make a snorkel Kit to move the Filter into the Bed, for the guys that off-road, or anyone else with common sense. Why would you want to suck dirty, sandy, nasty air from right above the road, and prob. give the Turbo a nice drink of water every time it rains too.

I wonder why no one has given this a shot yet.

I like this idea if the centrifugal was clutched like "Lone Wolf McQuade".
I also had a roots style on my 91 chevy and if you took the belt off the supercharger the truck would still run fine, just not as good :D.
Fuse the air conditioner clutch system with the centrifugal supercharger with a bigger than stock turbo so your daily driver keeps decent fuel mileage. Then when you wanted to play you hit the toggle that activated the centrifugal along with your big tune from efi live. Then you run into the problem of your allison having to learn all this at a red light???????????

The further the two turbos are apart the more lag you'll have and the poorer the performance due to heat loss in the hot piping. It also takes longer to "charge" the cold pipe.
