Is there a way to remove the silencer from the intake hose? Just wanted to get some feedback before I took it apart.

There are some posts on it. There even happens to be one where there is a picture of the tube, from the plumbing section of a hardware store, on it. It can be done, just have to have something cover the hole.

Are you taking about the small air box that sits over the valley of the engine? I would just remove it and try to find a PVC plug that would fit inside the hole and clamp it down... Thats what we have done on the LT1's with them. They called them home plate of something like that.

I yanked mine and noticed no difference in turbo wistle if thats what you are wondering.
