My truck is making an annoying rattle - not noticeable on smooth roads but when I hit a bump or pothole, it is bad. I crawled underneath and tried finding it but no luck. Anyone have any tips on finding out what is rattling?

Check the bushing at the crossmember for the torsion bars. Also, loose shock bolts or bad sway bar endlinks come to mind.

I'm not RIGHT ON all the time, but I have an employer that understands that repetitive failures require more research and development time. Plus the Baboons running most of this stuff allow me to endurance test everything. AND, I almost always have two or more of everything, which means the first failure/problem is always the heartbreaker and the rest are a walk in the park.
And, I'm not afraid to ask questions or tear just about anything apart.
And for those who benefit from my employer giving me a long leash, no thanks is necessary, but I do get all warm and fuzzy inside when someone says, That worked for me.
