Whats a good dpf back exhaust out right now?Thats right i said dpf back not turbo back! I know i will probly get hung by many of the members wondering why i want a dpf back over a turbo back! To be honest i dont want to mess with truck throwing codes and such and its more for looks as i cant stand the stock pipe that looks like a 1800's musket!Ive been looking at the RBP black coated exhaust and silverline or banks if it ever gets realesed! I have the Banks six gun as well so im hoping it might help with egt's and such also!

I was using 5" MagnaFlow DPF Back before takin' out the DPF. I liked it, in fact it's still part of my exhaust system. I just grafted it w/ a 4" downtube from MBR seems to work really good.

I had the Magnaflow on mine for I dumped it for the Turo-back and tuner. I like the Magnaflow over the MBRP. The MBRP has the spiral venting which I didn't like. The Magnaflow has vent holes that look very clean. If you are only going to do the DPF-back go with the 5in with a 6in tip. That way even though your not opening it up with a turbo-back at least you have that extra inch of flow. Every inch counts:D
T dont think it will lower egts because you stil have the cat and dpf at the front of exhaust so your not really opening it up any, and it does nothing for sound. I would look around on here some peolpe have polished the musket and make it look badass
RED07LMM what do you have done to your truck to clear 305's.
Thanks ED

correct it's not going to lower egt', it'll lower tail pipe temps but no difference at the manifold. as for which company i'd say MBRP, they were one of the first to release it and i personally havn't heard any issues w/ them. but if your gonna do a DPF back kit why not a dual.

I personally like the Magnaflow DPF back kits the best due to their intercooled tip design. The duals and the 5" look really good, but offer very limited power gains and EGT drop. In order to achieve this, you will want to ditch the DPF/DOC. Let me know if I can help with anything.

I dont know how a dual setup will look on the truck! Ive never been really into duels on a diesel!
