I have a buddy that is bugging me to race him. He has a 6.0 250 4x4 power stroke with a 60 hp diable chip. I have never really raced my truck before but I might have to. I have a LLY crew cab 4x4 2500 with juice/attitude. I guess to make it fair i would have to race him in level 2 or 3 but what do you think. I have never really been in the 6.0 stroker so i don't know how fast it is. He claimes he can smoke all 4 in 4 wheel drive. I guess i could also but i have never tried, i like my tranny too much or could I? Has anybody tried to do a 4 wheel burnout? I just wanted to see what yall thought before i went and embarased my self. - Canoli

Smoke all four huh??:muahaha:
I guess if it was rainy and he's running 245's on stock rims then there's a chance. My buddies 6.0 w/banks won't do a four wheel burnout. But who knows I guess???
I'd race him and show off that flat torque curve on these dmax's. Only advantage of the 6.0 is the higher red line, but it's gotta be in that red line to make big power. Just what I've noticed in ridding in my friends rig. Good luck, make us GM guys proud!

I race a guy that had a 6.0 powerstroke and we both had the juice set on level 4. We were both dead even all the way. This race started from a dead stop and we went to about 75 or so.

holeshot goes to the ford cause of the solid axle ,if you run top juice levels you should run him down.i watched a stock 04 dodge ram and ford race 1/4 yesterday and the ford won but the dodge didnt leave with boost built at all,it was close, would have been nice to have a stock chevy there to run em with

Heres the general rule of thumb on racing.... There is no fair race! You run what you brung! If he wants to race you, you turn up the juice and race him! He'll either lose, or beat you with the stuff that he has that he's not telling you about.

I would verify that he is only running the 65 HP tune. The highest tune on that programmer is 100HP, (but it is underrated) I have seen dyno #'s of about 140+/-.
The Powerstrokes shift pretty well with tuners also. I think it would be close.

Tell him if he feels froggy jump. Let him know your a FLZ (froggy landing zone)
A DMAX should eat a powerchokes lunch. Turn up the JUICE and let him smell smoke
:muahaha:
If you do happen to lose you can always come back to the power & performance
section to find more power

Turn it up to level 5 and the low boost fueling up to level 5 also. Put the gear display on your monitor, run it in tow haul, and run hard til you see 5th gear and the TC lockup, put the pedal through the floor and smoke him out.
