we're putting together a Kodiak/Topkick section on our site and i can't get a straight answer from Edge if it will work or not. So i'm wondering if anybody out there has used it w/ success yet.

Works fine. The main wiring harness is in a different location but everything reaches fine

When first calling Edge with questions, they "officially" state that they do not support the C4500-5500. That being said, then they will help you with anything you need. John

the thing is, we don't wanna list something on the site just becasue we think it'll work, i've been down that road before. i don't wanna sell someone something that we list on the site as working for the 45 or 55, ship it to them next day air, only to find out that it won't work on the truck, now i'm pissed the customer is pissed and we're back to ground zero...ya know

I agree....I was just explaining Edge's customer service routine concerning the 4500-5500. They did not want to talk to me till I told them I had been running their unit for 2 yrs. Then they were very helpful. I did not endorse the EVO system. I know some of Edge's products do not work with the newer D-Max's. That's why I did not say...Hey, go buy one. You might want to look at my post again.

So that said, I run the Edge Juice w/ Attitude monitor on my 2004 LB7 C4500 with no problems for over 2 yrs. I have NO info on the EVO system. John

Just put Juice W/Attitude on my 2006 5500 and have had only one problem with it. It bucks while running at 2000 rpm. If you drive above or below its fine. I just Email tech today to get some info.

I tried the Evolution, but could not get an update to recognize the ECM module in my truck. It worked great for reading and resetting engine codes, but I eventually returned it as Edge said they would not ever be releasing programming for the Kodiak. Also tried the Edge w/ Attitude, which caused the truck to buck and kick, throw all kinds of codes. Went with a Kennedy custom tune.

im running eded with addtude on a07 topkick and is like night and day and picked up about 50 miles a tank full 40 gallons in level5 it can realy move .

Truck5454 is that an 07.5 with the DPF you have that on? Was wanting to get the edge with attitude as well but wasnt for sure if it worked on the 07.5 year. Thanks

as i hear right now it doesn't work on the 07.5 LYE engine yet.

As stated earlier I put juice with attitude on my 06 and have had nothing but problems. I now have my third unit in the truck. two units would not run at all, current one bucks at about 2100 while at staedy speed. this unit is still on truck because I have learned to drive around the problem. the unit keeps setting code P046c (EGR) I have talked with edge and have had no success. Because I purchased from another company not direct thru edge they won't take back and the compant that I purchased it from says its edges problem. Mean while I am out a lot of money.

you chould still have a warranty on it though. that doesn't really sound like edge...

The problem you run into is Edge Products does not list nor support units for kodiaks. The company I purchased unit from specified 2006 kodiak application. when I first ran into a problem they refered me to Edge who stated that they could not support a kodiak because it was never tested nor would it be. Therefore in your ad do not referance kodiak. Edge does not support the unit and is very quick to say so. You then become responsible for that unit and all problems associated with it.
