What is ment by the term "limping your transmission"? I have never heard that before reading in this forum.-:t

Its your transmissions computer shutting the itself down (locking it gear) because of the input of too much power. Scenario: hauling a heavy trailer up a hill puts to much stress on the tranny with a tuner in a high power setting, therefore the computer reads this amount and protects itself by Limping

I have limped mine twice now not even pulling a trailer, just hot roddin around with a big tune.

I dont know if that helps ya at all but that is my knowledge on the subject.

Mine has limped once hot rodding around when I first got my programmer. It was going to shift into fifth and it just slipped out of gear and went into neutral until I slowed down to 45 and then it was locked into 3rd gear until I reset it and cleared the codes.
