hooch827 02-05-2005, 07:18 PM I just bought a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax with 38000 miles. The engine has been making a squealing noise. Took it in and they said they fixed it but it did the same thing this morning when I started up this morning. I talked to the salesman and he said bring it in and they will fix it. Anyone know what the problem could be. Replaced belt and noise was gone. Oh I had aprox 40,500 when the noise started and thought it might be the alternator but have found in past belts get glazed on back side and a little loose. letitsnow 02-06-2005, 04:36 PM I had the same problem, twice.
