I have an '01 (obviously), but where I work I get to see a lot of trucks pulling trailers. And after a while I have become very faund of the gear shifter (in an automatic) of the '03+ models. They're just fatter and look more comfortable. Does anyone know if I would be able to replace mine with one out of a newer truck?

just wrap a roll of electrical tape around yours. Should increase the thickness of your shifter :D :D

You know what, that maybe the case. But would that still fit?

it has the tap shift on it so you would have 2 buttons that did nothing but they use the same pin to hold the shifters on all gm cars. as for the t/h wiring and all im not sure id say its a no go though.

Not even sure the wiring would be the same on the 03-05. It has the overdrive lock out built into the tow/haul. so i'm sure that the wirng would be different. I'm sure its managable though with some good schematics(sp)

Hmm, well, I'm going to see if I can pick one up and just mess around with it. Who knows maybe I can get it figured out. I've got nothing but time on my hands.
