Towed for the first time after getting a Predator this fall. She pulled like a frieght train through the hills of northern Wisconsin hauling an enclosed sled trailer filled with tools, two sleds and all our gear.:) Set the cruise at 73mph in overdrive and with the 40-horse tow tune in place she lugged every hill refusing to slow down or downshift. Temps were all fine and nothing descernable wavered but about four hours into our trip the SES light came on and stayed on after several shutdowns at the gas-n-guzzle-snooze-in-stops. Checked the codes with the Predator and it said Mass Air Flow sensor Fail??? Unhooked the trailer mid week to go to a nice eatery without smelling like two-stroke smoke and drove about five miles before the light went out on its own. Hooked up on Friday to haul 'em back home and twenty miles down the road the SES light came back on and stayed on until I unhooked it back at home:help: . Same MAF sensor code again. Light went out five miles down the road after unhooking again.:wtf1: Anybody have any suggestions? I don't want to take her in if I don't have too. Has anybody using a predator for towing had similar issues? Thanx in advance.

The ECM has a map of expected air flow under certain conditions of RPM, throttle position, etc. When airflow goes outside that map, the code will be set, even though the MAF is OK. My '02 andTST will do it at low altitudes and low boost.

I have the Predator's on my 03 and 1 of my 04's and I tow for a living. No codes whatsoever. Have you ever ran an aftermarket air filter. If so I suggest you clean the maf sensor and try again.
