After doing alot of reading this evening, the general consensus seems to be, when you got codes 18,35, and 54, the IP is pretty well on it's way out. I dont know what pump is in it now, but it does have a green tag, so I'm assuming it was remanned sometime after '97. I have a 5582 pump on the shelf with a Delphi date sticker of Oct. 28, '97 on it. Opinions on if I should have this pump rebuilt, or if the local Stanadyne guys can "bench test" it to see if it does what it's supposed to do? Or just slap it on, and see what happens(not my favorite idea)?
Was also a little unclear from what I've read, if I may have a problem with the prom being able to handle the 5582 pump.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

Your 94 "F" most likely has a 5068 pump. Is the one on the shelf a 5288? If you have a 5068 on the truck nothing else will work unless you get your chip reflashed . Leo

Yes, the one on the shelf is a 5288. However when I bought the engine that it came from,(out of a '95) I also got the ECM with the prom in it. So I would need to verify that the numbers on the prom, are the correct numbers to drive the 5288

The 95 prom is a match to a 5288 pump. So you should be good to go. Leo
