I put some keys on my 3500 dually last night and it raised the bad boy 3 1/8 inches. I marked the adjustment bolts threads to make sure it was the same after install. My question is, has anyone else had the same results? I was under the impression it would only raise the truck 1 1/2 to 2 inches. My ride now is alot stiffer.

you cant reference by thread position. you should measure before and after height at the top of the fender, and stop at no more than 2 " or your ride will be bouncy as all get out. sounds like you know your stock height if you measured 3+" after the install. go down about 1.5" and check the ride. if you are satisfied and both sides are even, get an alignment.

Ski,
Thx for your reply.I did measure from stock fender height to new fender height. I will lower them down to two inches and go from there. I did notice the gap between upper and lower shock mounts grew 2" from stock. Should I try and put some washers as spacers to make up the difference?

Hi
I had the same experience on my 2500 after marking the adjustment bolts I got like 3 to 4 " of lift . apparently the green keys lift a lot more than 2 inches on some trucks. I had to crank em down to the stops and now it sits just right. I added bilsteins and a 1/2 spacer to the bottom and 1 inch washers to the top. I did have to shave some of the rubber bushings on to to get the nut started on the shock . My truck rides firmer but not harsh. Well worth the effort.

as the prvious post stated, you can shim the shocks at the top with washers. I would try both methods and see what you like best. I am not shimmed at all and like the ride, i have no problems. addign the washers after a week or so would only involve a few minutes of work to both front shocks. good luck and dont forget to check the alignment
