Looking to get the truck on some new shoes to match its lowered stance. Thinking 22s or 24s, wanting them to tuck inside the fenders.... what backspacing and tire size is anyone who's running a 22/24 here run? Post up pics if you got em! Thanks.

I'd go with 22's just for the little more side wall but if that doesn't matter then throw the 24's at her...Can't wait to see how the trucks going to look!!!

I was planning on 22s but I got a wild hair today maybe 24s. Tire prices are really killing that idea though, and 0 towing with them. I plan to have a set of rims/drag radials for the track so these wont be for that at all. More than likely Ill do 22s. Im really just trying to figure out backspacing issues to make sure theyre tucked in.

Oh come on...Do it like the old school trucks and have majority of the tires sticking out

The tucked backspace should be from 5.5" to 6" on a wheel that's 9 to 10 inches wide, and a 305/55/20 tire will clear the rocker panel. This is based on my results with leveling-up the Tbars by 2 inches.

The same backspace for a wheel that's 12" wide might swing the 305 clear also, but any wider tire is getting debatable whether it will clear. At that backspace (i.e. ~5.75"), the inner sidewall on a 325 will prolly rub suspension parts, and the outer shoulder might catch the rocker panel. If you're not up on the Tbars ... it exacerbates the potential interference.

Just one opinion, seems a tucked 20-inch wheel makes more sense, at say 9 or 10 inches wide. The 305 will look good at either 55 or 60 profile ... better than a 40 to 45 sidewall, but also holding the tire width in the correct ballpark. Best of luck~! ;)

I run 22's with 305/45/22 Zero rubbing. Handles awesome. Front is lowed about an 1/2 inch. I wanted 24's as well just couldn't find any 24inch tires with a 3,000 pound rating that would look right.

good luck finding 24's that'll tuck w/o getting billet wheels. the highest offset i found in 24's were like a +15 which will stick them way out. the 22's are a little easier, i'm doing raceline 22's w/ a +22 offset stock is +25. and i still have to run quadrasteer bedsides or narrow the rear to get them to tuck. the front will be very close but w/ the right tires they will. i'm going to run a 285 40 22 all the way around but i'm much lower than you guys. imo a 295 45 22 will work fine.

Actually, I've been curious about exactly how badly fender flares (like those Bushwackers) might interfere with clearance. I'm guessing they'd make it nearly impossible for my LMM to swing these 33's past the rocker panel .... ?? :confuzeld

Actually the bushwacker pocket style Flares don't help for clearnce. The cut out style do. They could get in the way with a wide offset wheel. I just did the right amount of heating and trimming on my inner fender to clear the rims and tires. Pretty simple to solve the rubbing issues with these trucks.
Some guys are running 285/55/22 which are 34.5" with just a little bit of cranking on the torsion bars.
