1990 Chevy Cheyanne 6.2 diesel. There are 2 cables on my injector pump. One runs thru the firewall (throttle) and the other runs to the box on the firewall. It seems to be a choke cable perhaps? I can't find a reference for the actual name, but choke cable does not come up when I do a parts search. I need a replacement cable, but don't know the name for it..... anyone know the name and a supplier?

Also, if this cable is broken, will the truck have a hard time starting? (even when hot?) Does this cable have anything to do with cruise control too?

Cruise Control. Not sure if you can get the cable by itself or if you have to get the whole box, etc.

OK, so it is cruise control.... I looked that up and found the box on the firewall.... unfortunately it doesn't come with the cable..... so I am back to square one on the cable... but at least I know the name now....

I guess I will hit up the dealer tomorrow and check the cost.... If it is available

Just go to the local hardware store and find the size cable you need and make one. I did that on my Blazer when I couldnt find a good e-brake cable. Works great. Might work in your case, not sure tho.
