I am gonna be running the cable for my 3000 Watt inverter tomorrow. I am curious if I can attach the hot cable to the little red box that says charge. If I do this will it pull from both batteries? I can only assume if you can jump the truck off this you should be able to pull from it also.

Yes you can hook it up there and yes it draws from both batteries.

Thats what I did also. I would highly suggest an inline Buss fuse/breaker like my 150 amp mounted on my firewall.
