IMO you should just run Auto Meter guages. They are more accurate them the monitors. IMO.

I would also recommend gauges.

I run both. I have EGT and Boost gauges and then run the Edge insight. not totally impressed with the insight. The main reason I bought the insight was to monitor tranny t/c slip, but the way it displays the info is sort of pointless.

I like the insight or the dash hawk. You can monitor a lot of sh*t and if you know what you are looking at they work fine. With a guage pod the max you can go is 3 gauges, were as the dash hawk you can set it up to monitor 4 things per screen and there are 6 different screens so you can see a lot. 6x4 = 20 guages.

Why do you want the banks pda?

Its the same thing as the insight, it just says dash hawk. MSD owns edge and there are both the same. Dash hawk has a few more options but thin again you can buy the insight and down load the msd software to the insight. This has been done by tommy i think(fire2100 or something).

DashHawk is pretty decent for what it can do. Just got the external EGT connected to it yesterday with nice weather finally. Granted the Banks pda looks cool with the colors and display size. I beleive the cost just to get the pda installed and working would out weight the cost of an Dashhawk or Insight.

PSYCO66- can you explain how the insight/dashhawk is much less accurate than conventional gagues? My DIGITAL insight is spot on with the factory tranny temp gague as well as the RPM and speedo. I dont understand how the digital gagues are less accurate than the conventional analog stuff. And the conventional gagues cant read and clear trouble codes, do preformance tests and monitor about 17 other engine parameters. Im not a fan of edge products but the insight is deff. a winner and it havsnt caused me one problem. Oh and I forgot to mention a ten year-old girl can install the insight (less the EGT probe but I bet her 16 year-old brother could!)

Its just the EGT sensors before and after DPF are way down the line and slow to respond to temp changes to me. Got the EGT probe installed and is really quick to changes and shows right off the header before the turbo. If EGT 1 or 2 are at say 600* on Interstate the External EGT sensor is about 700* to 800*. Jumps to 1200* when getting on it getting on Interstate.

not sure if I have a later software update or what....
But I have the Insight and I can get up to 7 readouts per screen with 4 screens. so 7x4=28 gauges. its pretty decent. not sure i like the accuracy of the torque converter slip. But it does ok.

whats this I hear about flashing the Dash hawk software onto the insight? is it any better, what can i gain from this?

Not sure if one can flash the Dashawk onto an Insight. Never heard about it. Might google later on that one. Those going Dashhawk II dont install the release 2.5 version. Many say stay with the beta 2.5 preproduction update. Unforuntaly MSD has dropped the Dashhawk updating team. Not sure where they are going with it now but with Ken and his team gone then I would say the end of Dashhawk II.
