I have a Stock 02 Duramax with 57,000 miles, and just the other day i noticed a difference in the way it was shifting, It shifts harder into every gear then it used too, It also downshifts differently then it used to, I had the trans serviced at 30,000, is it possible that it should be done again? The shifts are not really that bad just different then they were before. Anyone know what this might be, Thanks

I change my spin on filter every 10,000 miles. It might not need it but it's cheap insurance to me. I would give it a shot as others have had problems and it has solved them.

Please list any mods and or any service works done recently. That includes any program changes or disconnects. Anything. Spin-on filter is where to start, then change nsbu switch because it probably needs it anyways.

I did have a problem about a month ago, It was in 4 low, and it was real hard to get back into 2 Wheel drive, It finally went but i really had to work it., Would this have something to do with the nsbu?
Another quick ? i live in NY so its really cold here in the winter time, is the Edge with Attitude moniter the way to go, I really like that it has the trans protection, beacuse i really don't want to have to update it, I know i will have to be carefull with it, but i have been reading on here that th eedge sometimes messes up when its really cold, is this true or only a fluke, I also like the preditor, but i don't like that it dosen't have the trans protection, Any adivise,
PS - my truck is stock

My 2001 has a slight shiver when taking off and seems to shift hard, could it be the "Spin on" Filter? What is the "NSBU"?
