Page A-67 of the Upfitter Electrical Manual describes a 6 wire -2/21 amp acc. power harness on '08 trucks.
Does anyone know if it exists and where it may be. I've pulled the lower cover off under the dash and the front console cover and so far no luck. This thing must be :secret:.
I'm about to run a relay off the MBEC and the 12v post @ under hood fuse box but I would really like to access that harness.
Thanks

If you look up towards the center of the dash from the right side of the steering column, above an air duct, there is a taped harness going toward the passenger side. That is where the blunt cut wires were taped. It is really hard to see up in there, and the wires were taped to the top of that harness. I had to take off the lower panel below the steering wheel and pull the duct loose to get my fat hands up in there, but that's where it was.
If I had to do it again, I might take out the radio and get to it that way.

in the box under the dash there are some pins that have power with the accessory... if I can get a pic I'll do that so you can see, thats where I have my amp's power switch wire connected. Or if you're impatient you can take a volt meter or a test light and touch the pins. It's the second "set" from the bottom and it's one of the ones on the left, i think it's the first one in from the left. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your help guys. I've checked the pins in the MBEC and found the ign. hot ones. I didn't know what kind load they would carry. If I go that route, I'll use a relay and the main post under the hood. I like the idea of the harness because that's what it's for and I know what load it'll carry. Apparently not many people know of it.
I'll let you guys know what I find using Shasta's directions.
Thanks again and thank goodness for DP!:)

I believe you only get the wires mentioned in the PDF if your truck was built with RPO 9L4

At the risk of sounding ignorant, what is RPO 9L4? The manual says SEO 9L4 which I don't know what than means either.:o: Shasta told me his truck has the harness.

That may be the snowplow pacakge or the beacon light roof package. Not sure though.
