I've been looking around dealerships for a new 2500 DMax, but every dealership that I talk to gives me a different answer about the effects of the warrenty. Those who have had a dealer installed lifts, what's your story?

the first new truck i bought in 98 had a dealer "conversion" paint, lift, etc. the dealer had to warrenty the truck, but beware, ONLY that dealer. other dealers do not have to honer the warrnety. found that out the hard way. i tried to fight it under the magnuson warrenty act, good f--kin luck! my $.02.

If its modified in anyway, the dealer that modified it may look after the modifed parts, gm factory warranty does not cover aftermarket mods.
