I saw a post back in Feb '08 about this setup. Has anyone else done something similar to the kits offered by Squires Turbo Systems (www.ststurbo.com)???

Saw them put one of those kits on an old lightning on Trucks today. Looked good, goofy turbo placement though.

It nice for engine compartments that just don't have enough room, but i have always been leary about them. Imagine getting the exhaust housing red hot and running through a water puddle. I don't think it would be pretty.

i think if it was me i'd run the filter up through the bed, and design a box for it to keep the elements out. Also build a solid shield to keep the turbo safe. it just seems like it couldnt be nearly as efficient, seeing how far it has to push the charged air.
