I hate the door chime that goes off with the key in. On my 05 there was a little green wire you could cut to do away with it. I can't get any info on what to disconnect for the door chime on my new truck. Help me please, I can't stand it. Thanks. Bill

Still trying to figure this one out eh? AFAIK there is no way to turn it off because it chimes through the stereo system - unless you replace the radio with aftermarket and don't use the adapter harness...

And yes it bugs the crap out of me too. You can close the latch on the driver door and it will stop. I do that when I want to listen to the radio with the door open. Just remember to release latch before you slam the door shut!

Thanks for the reply. I can find a large group of wires under the dash but have no idea which goes to what. I bet some tech. that reads this site has a way to find out what needs to be disconnected. It would be good if he would talk to us. We will hang in there and see if somebody will help us out. Thanks. Bill

I just close the DRIVER's door and open all the rest. You can leave the key on ACC and play the radidio all you want. No ding.
