I have the Putco smooth stainless steel ones with the pocket cut outs. Not cheap, but they fit really well and look sharp next to the Retrax tonneau cover.

I have deezee diamond tread bed caps. Holds up well to dragging chains and shovels and stuff over the sides. After 3-5 years the clearcoat will fade, can be removed and they will look good again...

I bought the GM branded plastic bedrail protectors, and them to be warping. I would not recommend them at all. Mine are coming off, and going back to the dealer.

Getting the bedrails sprayed with line-x might be a good option, if you need a bedliner as well.

As with all 3M tape applied products you should alwas clean real well first with acetone or denatured alcohol or the highest Isopropyl alchohol % you can find will do and is cheaper even brake parts cleaner works well(no residue)

But always count on buying an extra roll at you auto supply and "beef up" the amount of tape on the products and you should have no problems...
ProCaps... Best fitting smooth ones out there(no ribs)(textured to match tailgate

Im on my second set with a second truck (both times I have used the Bushwhackers) and have never had one come even remotely close to loose. No rubbing what so ever and no extra tape other than what was supplied. I won't drill and rivot my bed rails ever. Holes create more opportunity for rust.

I am looking for rail caps that would cover the entire inside edge.
I have x-liner sprayed on the rail, but I wanted a rail cap. Bought EGR cap but they do not cover the entire inside ledge of the truck. Looks bad. My entire bed is black and my rails are black with the exception of about 1/2 inch silver birch strip around the entire inside of the bed rail? Any suggestions?-:t

I had over the rails done on my truck too. Aurmorthane(sp?) instead of linex. So glad I did.
