I have read many messages about the regen and the two sensors. My understanding is that it regens when the pressures are too far apart? Why can't you gut the housing that holds the filter that gets plugged up? Is it possible to cut the guts out and still leave the outsides looking untouched? I know this sounds stupid and it probalby is but why is it? Thanks for the read.

Nope won't work. The ecm still monitors how many regens within xxx amount of miles. If it doesn't see one it will go into limp mode.

what he said.^^

its not just a realtime pressure moniter. ecm also requires the truck go into regen within a certain number of miles. if it dont happen... limp. ecm assumes something is wrong with the truck if it is not going into regen.
