the biggest cab in the industry
one of Mega Cab's biggest selling points will be its more spacious backseat, which reclines and has storage space behind the seat.
Chrysler would begin building a new four-door, crew cab pickup in August.

I wonder what the big delay in doing a CC was.
Is the Cummins the heaviest of Pick Up Diesel engines?
Is it the placement so deep into the forward cab that it's weight displacement?
I don't understand the lax in building so late.

Who better than the Mexicans to make a quad cab? They can get more people into one vehicle/house than most of us in the US! Their utilization of space is without peer. No knock to any Hispanics out on the forum. I used to travel to Mexico a lot and the people there are fine. -My politically correct statement before getting flamed-.

the biggest cab in the industry
One question I had about the Dodge cabs-Do alot of people have trouble with low head clearance while getting in their trucks? My brother-in-law just bought a new quad cab cummins and he complains that the pillar has too much of an angle and he has hit is head a few times climbing in. I brushed my head the first time I got in.
so what of it Hoot? Do Dodges give you a headache to own? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

low pillar height does stink when plowing. I have had to re-locate the garage door opener off the visor to prevent an imprint.......LOL
You guys give me a headache ;)
There you go... another huge reason to stay away from Dodge. Big heads don't fit in a Dodge.

Hey, what would you do without all the attention from your adoring fans here? ):h
I have read the large majority of your 6000+ posts (been lurking an awful long time) and know that you have a good sense of humor.
So are you saying the low pillar is a non-issue then? We are talking about guys 6 foot tall, not sasquatch (sp) here.

I am a little over 6'2 inches and the only time time the pillar even matters is when plowing. Its actually not a bad thing.....reminds you head on when you hit the banks to hard.....LOL
Have you done that yet hoot?

I'v got a 98 Dodge and i'm 6'5. I hit my head on everything else.
But I have yet to have a problem with my Dodge. I think it has more head room than any truck that I'v ever drove. I even bounce my head of the cab of the Peterbilt I drive.
