Does anybody know the stipulations for the 1999-to current GM ownership rebates? I have an 2003 Yukon XL that I bought used and was wondering if I qualified that way? Just got a very good quote on 2008 D-Max, how low can I go?:deal:

I looked at it and I don't think it matters how you bought it just that you own one. It is $2000.00 I think

The loyalty rebate was there after the first of the year when I ordered mine. At the time, all the dealership needed to qualify was to show proof of registration. By the time the truck arrived that rebate was gone, the dollars were still there though, in other offers. Is it back again?

Yes. My local dealer must be slowing down as the sales manager called me yesterday about a truck I looked at over a month ago. I believe it's going to get rough for them.

I got mine today too. I used the $1500 exclusive offer and got the info for the additional $2000 that was offered today. What I dont understand is that it said it was valid from 030708 to 050708. Why didnt the dealer offer this rebate when I traded in my 04 Sierra. Im calling tomorrow.

FYI, total rebates I could take was $5,250 on a GMC LMM 2 days ago, including the $2,000 loyalty. They would not let me use the "private offer" certificate of $1,000 that GM sent me last month, because on the dealership system, that was trumped by the $2,000 loyalty.

Sounded fishy to me, but he showed me the screen as he tried to add it and he couldn't.

I just leased a Saturn Aura. To get the loyalty rebate, I had to give the Dealer a copy of my '07 LBZ vehicle registration to prove that I owned a 1999 or newer GM vehicle.

Leased the Saturn to save $ on fuel. What I'll save on fuel will pay the lease on the Saturn.

I just visited my local dealer and am very close to buying an 08 3500HD SRW CC LTZ Duramax. Last weekend he had given me all the expiration dates for the Customer Cash totaling $3,250 and the $2,000 owner loyalty (The owner loyalty recently changed to an offer open for ANY '99 or newer vehicle of any make). Last weekend the $2,000 for the '99 or newer was supposed to expire on the 23rd of May (or twenty-something). Today he told me they had a sales meeting and GM has changed the expiration date to May 6th! This was very surprising to me that they would make it expire sooner than originally given. If I were to buy today, the total rebates would equal $5,250. We were planning on buying in about 2 weeks, but now I have to pull the trigger on or before May 6th if I want to be guaranteed this customer loyalty rebate. I guess I will take the risk and hope they keep it or increase it after the 6th.
Does anyone else know anything in addition about this?
Do you think the rebates will continue to increase due to the slowing economy, rising diesel costs and the competition's offers that are more than a combined $5,250?
I would love to hear some of your thoughts, especially anyone that might have information from GM.
I hope waiting another week will product better overall discounts/rebates.

IMO, if you can wait 2 months, the 2009s are almost here. Given the state of the economy, I think incentives will continue once production is back, but the American Axle strike has drastically slowed, if not halted, production of LMMs, see link here (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/www.upi.com/NewsTrack/Business/2008/05/01/american_axle_strike_enters_third_month/9147/). Since the supply of trucks is down and there is still demand for the trucks (although arguably lower than it was 6-12 months ago), GM may be able to sell its dwindling stock of trucks with lower rebates given the limited supply. So, it is conceivable that your dealer's information is correct.

I got great information on DP from some people in the know when I was asking about my delayed order, so I am sure someone else will be able to give you the inside scoop.

Good luck with whatever you decide!
