I put an aftermarket satellite radio in my lly. My truck has been acting up way before I installed the SAT. In the GM style they are blaming my SAT radio. The problem that I am having is that on first start of the day the truck will cut out blow blue smoke. Then it will take off then cut out again. My question is if anyone has installed a satellite radio in their trucks and are having any problems or if I am the lucky one.

Guys,
The stereo in on the same "bus" as the engine in the 2003 and later trucks so it could possibly be causing a problem. Test it by putting it back to stock.
I have seen issues on my truck with my Soundgate XM add on to the stock head unit. Basically just communication issues with the Tech 2. Although I have actually managed to kill the engine while going through the menus on the Tech 2.

Sirius and no problems. I suspect you have an idiot mechanic at a poor stealership. Because they are unable to figure it out they would rather send you someplace else even at your own expense. They make their money by volume and if the guy needs to spend a day looking at your truck for a warranty issue that GM only pays say an hour on then they lose money. Go to another dealer and remember that in the future.

Sirius here and no issues. I have the soundgate also. Sounds like a new dealer is in your future. Good luck with it.

XM ROADY on a 2002.........
It is interfaced thru the cassette adapter...........
It does not cause radio or electronic interferance if that is what you are asking.

Imagine this it was not the sirius radio after all, they had to have something to blame to save, what little, face they have left. They ended up replacing my ECM. I will know tomorrow if they really fixed it. Wish me luck!!!!!
