right now my 94 Suburban is all tore apart, and getting an even better paint job than what it had......all solid jet black!

my original plan was to paint the burban, and then install the exhaust, gauges, PMD cooler, instant heat glow plugs and new filter. well..........

i now have a new idea while the truk in on 500 parts!

i took off the fenders to get the fender flairs off since after 190K they rubbed together and started to chip some paint away around the bolt holes for the flairs. goint to go ahead and replace the inner fenders, they showed scabs on the edges.

i got to looking, while the inner fenders are out, why not install the new glow plugs, and run the wiring for the gauges at the turbo, and then go ahead and install the new exhaust pipe from the turbo down.

looks to he a heck of alot easier while the inner fenders are out!

now i need some .............:help:

1) where exactly would be the best place to install the tip for the exhaust gauge?

2) where exactly would be the BEST place to install the tip for the boost gauge?

mr. taillight, try installing boost on top of intake plenum right smack dab in the middle. access is easy and you only have to remove a few bolts to do drilling and tapping off truck so no metal gets inside intake. as far as the exhaust mine is in the center of x-over pipe but some folks locate at different spots i find x-over is easy access and a balanced reading. good luck on your project!

taillight, #9 is sweet not bad at all on mileage but works awesome with banks chip-power wise. i am sure the heath chip is just as good since banks doesnt have chips for 65s any more.

i just installed an 80HP chip and i know it will all run better with the exhaust and the #9 pin.

thanks for your input!

you can check my site to see where i put the boost tap, worked good and lotsa meat to tap into there. Its linked to my signature line. If you tap the top of the intake you should put a 90 in it to keep the bends out of the line, while tapping only go a little at a time and test fit the fitting to keep it close to flush on the inside.

well i left the shop today and went over to where my burban is and got to work on the front end again.

i changed the inner fenders as they showed some scabs, and the nie base/clear black ones in in place. while the drives side was out i installed the instant head glow plugs, and got all that back together.

took out the passengers side and also changed glow plugs, taped on my fitting for the pyro gauge......VERY SIMPLE with the fender and inner fenders off!

changed over the factor "lets chrush the hell out of the pipe off the turbo" to the 3.5" straigt tube, and didnt even have to notch the frame, or bend the new pipe....it went right in place.

also, before i installed the right fender, i took out the tan air duct in the fender.....what a pain in my butt!! i was amazed at how much the air flow was reduced with this being used. then i closed off any and all exesting possible air leaks in the fender to make a better seal.

i forgot my camera, so i didnt get any pics. this monster sounds BAD with the open 4 foot pipe and the chip installed!

maybe tomorrow b4 the game i will get the boost gauge tapped in, and finish up the wiring and install the pillar cluster.

i think it is smooth sailing from this point, caus im givin it a case of :grd:
