You have a lot of reading and learning to do. It takes a lot of time to collect, filter and use VO. Not to mention that you will probably be turning wrenches at least a few times a month to keep everything operating right. Expect to spend $2000-$3000+ up front for GOOD a conversion kit and filtration setup...more if you expect someone else to install it. DO NOT skimp on the conversion kit or you WILL have problems.

Hey Basshopper, does your Duramax have the FICM on the passenger side valve cover that you need to keep cool when running hot veggie? If so, how did you handle that little problem?

No either 2005 or 2006 the FICM was intagrated into the ECM so hot fuel is not an issue.

I'm still waiting for Greasecar to come out with their kit. I talked with them and they said at the earliest June and possibly not until the end of summer.

Been looking into getting a fuel mieser, not sure of spelling. But it was on an episode of TRUCKS and you can google the video. Refines vegi oil so you don't need another tank just put it right in. Check it out:cool2:.
