Anybody know how to go about wiring a brake controller into the new GM half-tons without the integrated brake controller? Seems they got rid of the plug and play feature we have all come to love over the past decade or so and now it needs to be spliced into the factory wiring? Not sure where to begin.

Any help would be AWESOME!!

On my 08 Tahoe, the wires were wrapped in a bit of electrical tape and jammed up under the dash near my left knee.

Shasta, thank you for the instructions on how to install the break controller. The only issue I had was the 8mm nut did work on the number 2 stud. I could thread it on by hand and then as i started to tighten it down it would not go. Is there a special 8mm nut I should have used:).

Sure it was a metric nut? There is also a fine and coarse pitch. I just bought what ever Home Depot had that was close and found one that worked. If it's tight I'd say no worries...:)

The sizes for the nuts you need are M8 1.25, and M6 1.0.
