Well it was finally dry enough to get on the ground and look under my truck. I had been noticing for some time that the bed of the truck seems higher on the passanger side. Sure enought it is and the problem is with the air-springs. The bags are plumbed together with a "t" connecting the 2 air lines. I know this is not the correct way to do things but I got this truck used with the air-springs already installed.

For whatever reason the drivers side bag is flat and the passanger side has air in it. There is pressure in the system (10 psi) from checking the schrader valve. Why if the 2 are plumbed together would 1 bag have air and not the other?

I know the tank is on the drivers side but my truck is nearly empty and that should be miminal deflection not the 2" that I measure. Is there such a thing as a 1-way "t" valve that might be used in this situation that could be stuck?

There is no one way tee available check to see if the upper bag brackets are installed in the same place on the frame. If so look for the line to be pinched somewhere

Trace the lines.
Mine are tee'd, but I have a valve between the tee's.

Thats how mine is, valve must of got hit when I was out snow plowing. Opened the valve and aired both bags up. Problem solved

Since the bags are teed together the air is going to go the area a least resistance. Your truck may have a lean to one side without any airbags and when you put the 10 psi in the bags, the one the higher side will take more of the air because that bag has less pressure on it. It will look more inflated but the air pressure will be the same in both bags, but it wont appear that way.

Just what I was thinking too........

It did lean to the left but with the help of Rush Limbaugh it leans to the right now:D
Must be from the union workers on the assembly line when it was made:p:
