The new look will be great.....if they use the same tire pressure deal as is on my wifes Bonneville no thanks ...talk about a pain in the azz they still haven't figured out how to keep the front drivers side from going flat they fixed the other three though.....great....gonna be a lemon soon I think!

at this point, im almost scared of their changes. they seem to make the trucks uglier and more girly with each revision. when the 2000 design came out, i hated it but got used to it. then the 2003 came out and i hated it, but bought one anyway and it has grown to where i like it quite a bit. they seem to be getting more futuristic and car-like with every change. its like theyre catering toward the soccer-mom crowd more than men who want a real truck! at least do like ford, they make the f150 pansy but the 250 and 350 are badass.

Well, that would be the best decision they've made in several years if it's true. The front end, now, looks like the truck is trying to take a crap and it's face is all squished together from pushing so hard.

...only my opinion, though...

Also don't know if anyone else noticed or commented, but GM announced that by 2007 all vehicles will come standard with Onstar and Stabilitrak. You can find the details here. http://www.gm.com/company/onlygm/ Not sure what that will do to the price but it will certainly bring down the per-vehicle cost of these features.

Me too. I know they're trying to balance the urban user with the real truck users....just look at the trucks on the road and see how many are really used as a truck. Ford is doing the same thing and between the two have the lions share of the market. When you look back and see how the market has changed, you can see the differences in the trucks to accomodate it. Gosh.....a top of the line truck today rides and feels like a high end luxury car and will still pull 20,000 pounds down the road.....why...because the market wants it.
Dodge, on the other hand, still looks like a truck whether you like the looks or not.....(a big Dodge dually coming down the road at night will scare you):h ). I don't mind all this as long as they don't cross the line too far. For me....let them play with the SSR as a concept "truck" or even the 1500's, but be a bit careful with the 2500/3500's. Sure, make them comfortable and stylish but make them trucks first.:ro) ....you know...little things.....LIKE DECENT TIRES:rant:

Man I read three different threads on that site and no one positive. Are you sure that a GM page and not a GM bashers page?

Remember the Chevrolet Cheyenne pictures from couple years ago? Remeber the GMC Graphite from this years auto show? Notice the styling similarities? Rumor is, that will be the destination of GM trucks styling. Seeing the cheyenne in person, it is pretty cool I think. I could be way off, but who knows...

Yeah, there are alot of bashers over there at gminsidenews, but they deal in the rumors and us GM guys need our fixes......

You know I went to that page also, and got so mad that I had to signup with that site, just to blow off some steam.
I guess I should stay here on this site, as I feel the same as you guys when it comes to the silverado trucks. I loved my 1979 then the 1988 grew on me, then liked my 1992, 1994 for( looks only), 1999 was a dream but this 2004 is the best of all. If they want to improve the auto sales they just need to keep everything as it is, with three exceptions. (1).Fix the injector problem, (2).Then after that give us a 100,000 mile full powertrain warranty. (3). Install 265 tires on the one tons from the factory.

I agree with Tip of the Iceberg

The new styling for the next generation Tahoe and Sub looks to me like a blown up Equinox (its difficult to see, since they only picture I have seen is the one shown as heavily camouflaged vehicle in Truck Trend). I would assume the Pickup will look similar, something between the current Silverado and the Cheyenne or Equinox. The trucks are always more conserative styled. Anyway probably it will look not as good as the current GMC IMHO - so I have to keep mine long long long......until I die or longer
