I have a friend who loaded the Predator 65HP tune on his LBZ last night. He was able to extract the stock tune without issue but upon attempting to load the 65HP tune got an error message that said he did not have the key turned to on far enough (past the acc. position).

He turned key to the proper postion and the upload of the 65HP tune completed.

Upon test driving the truck he found a considerable loss of power and mushy transmission shifts. He did say the truck ran fine just a power and shifting issue.

Has anyone incurred a similar issue or have suggestions. My thoughts are to re-install stock tune and try it again.

By the way this is a New Predator he received from one of the site vendors.

Thanks,

Steve

He did mention he pulled the appropriate fuses,

i agree try it on a different level, also see if there are any updates for that unit, they come out w/ new versions all the time.

X2. Reload the stock tune. See if there is any downloads. Then load the 85 tune to see if it is any different.

While loading the tune did you guys pull the two fuses that Diablo Sport recomends? I understand that voltage changes affect the tune download signifigantly. If there are parasitic current draws on the battery then the tune can be screwed up. Aftermarket radios, even stock radios ext can draw current. By pulling the fuses, you can take the draws out of the equation.

if that was the case the tune never would've taken.

As noted initially, all recommended fuses were pulled prior to install.

Problem solved. :) Reloaded stock tune without issue and ran around block to be sure. Installed 65HP tune and all took. Per my buddy all running great with more power.

Thanks for your input.

Steve
